Re: Need KL-ZE help fast.....
I had this problem as well. Run the Mx-3 VAF with the 1.8 ECU. Set the TPS and idle using directions off probetalk. When you get a chance change out the ecu for a KLZE one. Are you running the 1.8 Manifold?

Reset the ECU - disconect the negetive battery cable for a while then hook it back up.

Re: A/C system....do it yourself???
The two refrigerents (actually i believe it is the oils) don't mix. If you mix the two together then you risk freezing the compressor. A mechanic is going to tell you whatever makes him the most money. You only need the high and low adaptors. Do not overfill the system. I believe the ratio is 80 ...

You can use 134a as long as the system has been completely evaced.

Codes 5, 23, 41
Like the guy with the KLZE in Sacremento I've been having a terrible time trying to get my KLZE to idle. I set it today using the directions of Probetalk, but while on my way to school my motor just shut down. The check engine light came on so I pulled the codes when I got home. The first code I got ...

Re: My ZE MX-3 Rocks, but I have a problem I need to figure
I just finished pulling codes on my swapp and guess what... I got the same O2 codes and my idle does the same thing. I used Jeff's website and wired in universal O2s to save money. At first I thought I wired them wrong but if you have the same codes?? Did you use your old O2 sensons or get new ones?

Re: My KL-ZE from Nippon Motors is in and running....(pics i
When I first start my car the idle is real high. After a few minutes the idle will drop to about 700 but will occasionally peak up to about 1500. I have tripped a few CEL's because I crossed the O2 sensor signal wire with the ground. Have you gotten any CEL's yet? I did a search on ECU's and VAF ...

Re: My KL-ZE from Nippon Motors is in and running....(pics i
My KLZE has been in for two weeks now and I have had the same problems with the idle, and the clutch. I am very envious of your manifold - I ordered mine one week earlier and all they had were the straight necks. I tried putting my brother's Vaf sensor, from a 93 MX-6, to see if that would help the ...

Re: short shifter
Pull the shifter out of the car. Cut the shaft under the ball. Weld an extra inch or so into place. Put it back in the car. I believe that one inch reduced the throw by about 30%. I can't remember who's page has the directions but there isn't much to it.

Re: !!!Need Help Super Fast!!! Kl-ze In, Atx -> Mtx Swap Pro
The halfshafts only go in one way (male driver sie, female passenger) but try to run down to a local autoparts store and measuring their halfsaft just to make sure yours are the right length.

Clutch Problem with KLZE
Well my KLZE and ACT clutch have been in for two weeks and I haven't driven the car anywhere. For some reason the clutch will not disengage. Today I took the car to a shop where they tore the tranny apart only to find out that everything is correct (I feared I might have put the disk in backwards ...

Re: +5-15hp coolant line bypass
This is a modification to the coolant lines that go to the throttle body. Instead of running hot coolant threw the throttle body you bypass it keepin it much cooler. There is a long write up on Probetalk so check it out. David has don this mod to his MX-3 so if you have any questions you should ask ...
