Re: the dream engine/tranny

the dream engine/tranny
ok... assuming that money is no option here, what would be the best engine/intercooler/turbo/tranny/etc. to drop in the mx-3? I've decided to shock the world and try and make a drag-worthy mx-3, that is still street capable. I'm interested in doing a mod to it to make it rear wheel drive also.<P ...

Re: Electronic supercharger...
well, a second turbo (to spool the first) would add more weight to the vehicle. not much, but when you're trying to make a high performance vehicle, you're gonna cut the weight anywhere you can. as for the electrical system, why couldn't you use a smaller, indendant for the electric SC. of course ...

ALL-Wheel Drive?
OK, i know i read some where about an all wheel drive mx-3. i want to do this, what would i take? i at least want to convert it to rear wheel drive, i know i've got a lot of work in store for me if i do this, but i just hate the power loss of front wheel cars.

Re: Electronic supercharger...
ohh, i didn't mean this one specifically, but a different electric supercharger. this is all theory, i'm not speaking of a specific SC or a specific Turbo, bit i'm sure with a little enginuity, the two could be hybrid.

Re: Electronic supercharger...
call me an idiot here, but i think i have a possibility that noone her has yet discussed.
would there be a possible way to hook up the electric supercharger to a turbo, this would reduce the lag from the turbo and add instant boost. if this was realized in the proper way, i think you'd have an ...

Re: Erebuni and FX
i do think that black mx-3 looks good with the pak sides and erebuni nose look great together, but if you do it, make sure you've got the vehicle lowered like that black one is, and not keep the stock suspension like the yellow one has.
just my opinion. you can have a dope body kit, but if it's ...

Re: Safety Enhancments
haha, more than alive... luckily it has a low center of balance so it didn't roll. thank god it's sporty, huh? yeah... the car is built pretty good. i don't know what th egoverment crash test ratings were on it, but i conducted my own, and i feel safer in the mx-3 than i do in any other car.

Re: Safety Enhancments
ok... read my screen name...
as one of the few who have totaled their mx-3, i can assure you, you don't need to add anything for safety. i was in an accident with a full-sized ford taurus, the driver of the taurus hit me directly in the driver's side door going 85 miles an hour. the taurus then ...
