ALL-Wheel Drive?

Post by totaled93mx3GS »

OK, i know i read some where about an all wheel drive mx-3. i want to do this, what would i take? i at least want to convert it to rear wheel drive, i know i've got a lot of work in store for me if i do this, but i just hate the power loss of front wheel cars.

You might be able to use the AWD set up from a '91 AWD protoge or 323 GTX.
I think the chassis are the same with the MX-3.
The 323 GTX is a turbo and you could get about 200 H.P. with a little work.
But the protoge is not a turbo.

If you have lots of money than this should be possible. I was right, in japan they kept making the 323 GTX. You can get the GTX or GT-R(220H.P.) engins from cork sport.
As for AWD, if your serious the best way would be to get a complete wrecked car from japan (93 or 94 323 GT-R AWD turbo) and swap everything on to the MX-3 since they share platforms.
Good luck.
:)
