[WTB] Auto to Manual gear for an RS

Post by PATDIESEL »

My 15 yr old nephew was given a MX3 by his grandparents (other side of the family, but the owned an MX-3 so obviously smart), but it is auto and has a blown transmision. Devin wants to race with us (MOCA) and thus needs a manual anyway. So looking for a good deal and/or localish car that I can get all I need to change the car from Auto to Manual trans.
List:
master cylinder
clutch slave and master
lines for clutch
transmision (preferably G series RS trans) 94+ iirc
pedal assembly
shifter with shifter seat, boot and knob
shifter rods
Help the MX world give birth to a new MX-3 fan by selling parts to a first time car buyer and 15 yr old who wants to be like his uncle ;)

I have all of these parts on my parts car. However I'm in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Let me know.

Also, the RS transmissions are F-series.

and to add, G series is the Escorts tranny, so maybe you should just pull a BP and swap it for him as well =D

Also just FYI all the parts aside from the tranny obviously are the same from RS to GS except the shift linkage itself (from the bottom of the shifter to the shift shaft on the tranny). The control rod and the rest of the shifter assembly is the same.

And of just to add...any car which came from the factory with a BP has a G series tranny...as well as Escort Zetec's and some Kia's.
94' RS/GS/MS/CF Monster Turbo...coming soon.
93' GS SE, the Black Beast, the former love of my life...soon to be gutted and crushed.
94' GS, black on black, now in several small pieces...and one large crushed piece.

Thanks for the info on the G series locals. One of the 4 banger MOCA guys suggested I find a good Protoge and grab the motor and trans from that to get a BP and G series. Sounds like a good idea.
So still looking for the MX related parts: (not in Canada if you please) a bit too far to drive and can be expensive to ship ;)

I have all these items available from a 92 GS 5 speed. Everything is already pulled from the car except the pedal assembly. I am located and would be shipping them from PA. If your interested, PM what you would be willing to spend on them shipped, maybe we can work out a deal.
