Just finished the HEI/Blaster mod WORKS GREAT

Post by Mnemonic »

Just finished it up, works great, drove after doing it for a 30min ride runs nice and smooth.

As you can see i tried to drill off center to tap into the wire, like all the HOW TO's say to do, doing it this way is the incorrect way and a pain, Pat and I decided to drill and tap the center, allowing the screw to pass through the center metal gromit piece, This is a better way than to drill and tap into a wire, not knowing how well the connection is.

I did an easier to read diagram for the mx-3 (this is basically idiot proof)

Heh.. now all you need is a Millenia alternator and you'll have the consistant power to feed it ;) Been waiting for you to finish this mod so I can talk you into doing a dyno run to compare to the run you did last year ;) Cheers

let me get a couple of 100 on it to make sure its gonna work just fine and i'll go to the dyno to see the difference, i believe the power will be in the same range, but i think the curve will be alot more smoother

Here one I made for just the HEI mod after I did it last year

Of course it doesn't have some info that you have since I didn't do the HEI mod, so i dont want to incoporate anything I didn't verify and do myself, but on yours, the blue/orange, I could of sworn it was Orange only, maybe Orange/Blue, as in Orange with a blue stripe? As well, what's the significance of the "750" you have marked there?

Making sure that clean filtered air is pulled in, the setup worked well on my kf motor when i did it sept i used 1 breather filter for both heads, this time i just decided to do 1 per head, works well though i cant say it doesn anything really, doesnt hurt power or the motor any so....

Your right its Solid orange, with blue stripes, I just was looking over all the other diagrams they said blue/orange, but yes your right it should be orange/blue for the discription. I just changed it.

its a vent it doesn't necesarly pull air in. more air will go out actually. Just be lucky you don't get cought. thats a hefty fine if you get caught.

There are a couple of obvious benefits..

1) Far less expensive than a new distributor.
2) Far more reliable than the Mitsushitsi produced distributor (OEM disty)
3) Potentially better spark equalling greater ignition, which of course results in more power and better fuel economy.
4) Its freaking cool as heck
5) Its sexy and will improve your overall attractiveness to the ladies.
6) Do I really need to go on? ;)
