looking at my mx-3 in the daylight is sad......it has numerous sections of fading (front fenders for the most part).......I dont have the $ for a respray.....
whats the best way to bring back some shine? plain ole waxing?

Spot on, that is the best way to resore the paint to the best it will look. Take some time and read the directions on the clay bar box, and waxes. If used properly you'll get much better results than if you just jump on it.
