Post by 95Precidia »

Hey guys just wondering, im looking at buying a system for my 95 precidia, ive had many systems before but I always seem to drain my battery or need a new alternator a month or two later, what do you guys suggest to get rid of this problem. Im looking at 2 12's and a 600 watt rms amp, so looking to run 600 rms, 4 gauge wiring kit. Please help me out guys

Thanks a lot

You need to get your alternator wound to a higher amperage.... im guessing 110amps or higher would be good

And get a good battery ie. odyssey, orbital, optima...

then you are good, wont need a capacitor with a good alt-battery combo

Do a 4 gauge grounding kit and upgrade the alternator-to-battery wire to 2 gauge. New battery terminals.

That should stabilize power enough to do a moderate system like 500 - 700 watts RMS.
