Ebay O2 Sensor Mods?

Post by wannamjd »

I hate to ask this because everything I know tells me this is too good to be true. However I can't find any information through the search feature.
There are many places on Ebay auctioning these O2 sensor mods which claim a 15-20 hp increase. It claims to work by richening the fuel mixture.
Here is one of the auctions:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1874504505
I also found a "chip" that supposedly fools the ecu into advancing the timing. I have already done some research into this and found out we have crank angle sensors that adjust timing and detonation sensors that keep it performing as well as it is able with the current gasoline. But could this work by changing the signals? Could any gains be expected? (I know this is for KL engine but it should work I would think for the K8s)
Here is the link:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1874950494
This board has been an incredibly valuable resource!
Thanks for your help!

im going to say what everyone else is probably going to say, or is to lazy to type.
Dont trust ANY of the cheap mods that are on ebay. They simply dont work.
Im not a car genious but, if you just simply add fuel to the mixture you are not gaining power. You also have to have the air to compensate for it, otherwise you are running rich, and wasting gas, not to mention the power you will lose from it, and the residue on your tailpipe. Im running rich right now, waiting for an opportunity to get my right o2 sensor installed...its not fun.
hope this helps.

I would recomend against buying that "junk". Don't waste your money.
