I noticed a lot bickering on this site...

Post by 992mmx3 »

that, and swearing. Why is that? Its almost impossible to go through the days active topics and not see a thread full of squabbling and flaming. This is a family site, we are supposed to be a tight knit group. I think if people would just calm down and realize that this is a forum to help people, come and hang out, and learn, and take there pride down a few levels, this site might be more enjoyable. Let's be civil folks, and keep things cogent. :)

I think everyone wants to one-up one another instead of give positive feedback or CONSTRUCTIVE criticism... Mods are too tightly-wound sometimes, big-time posters are very tightly-wound... i dunno, everyone needs to just chill out and learn to enjoy their cars.... that's what it's there for

Sometimes I think the mods are a little too lax. I think they should really bring the booyah sometimes, but maybe thats just me. I'd run this place with an iron fist, maybe that'll help this place out, LOL. But yeah, maybe its the black bacround of the site, it makes people eeeevil! :D

you'll notice also that most of the squabling is instigated by the same few people again and again.

I know I've been involved with bickering and being stoopid on a few occassions probably myself, but change starts somewhere, and I think if people changed, this site would be awesome. There's a lot of helpful members and information on here. I also think that too many repeated questions are asked, it kind of takes away from the site too. Maybe a few stickies should be made instead of faq areas. People always seem to skip by those sections.

As you can see I havent been around the UBB for too long, but I have been around the mailing list for a long time. (is that down by any chance becuase I am not receiving any mail anymore). But I have seen a lot of the high posters go nuts when the same question is asked. I understand it is annoying because I get annoyed to. But instead of jumping all over the person you can simply say do a search, its been covered. If they are new to the UBB how do they know to search? Also if you notice, I have not said one curse in any of my posts :) But anyway, I agree that people should calm down and be more relaxed.

Why don't you just change the title to say "EVERYONE HATES AIDEN."<p>It's not like I could even care.<p>Helping people on this site gets more and more hard each day. People are NOT willing to accept something when you tell them, and then when you DO give them true information they call you a liar.<p>So, go figure!<p>~A

of all the boards i am on, and id like to say like 8...this is by far the most moderated board i am on. i know on my teams forums if people feel the need too fight, we let them, sometimes anger over the net is better than fist to fist...<p>not saying its a bad thing but its something i noticed.
i got a 90 pgt...but wish it was a mx-3 bp-t!

hmmm.....i just did a search of this post and found the word Aiden once, and that is when you posted. no one said Aiden, just because you think it was directed towards you desont mean it was. that is what you get for doing your own thinking...there have been others like you such as ProtegeSTS. being informed about a subject doesnt allow you to go ranting and raving about how we are all stupid and arent willing to conform to your views. personally i could care less what you say and think because th majority of what you post is putting peoples cars down or saying how stupid someone idea is.

i am with you aiden, sometimes some one asks a question and you give them an answer and if they don't like it then they get all mad. If they are new, then they might not know how to do a search, or the title of the conversation says one thing and they talk about another.<p>All in all I do like this site. If I don't like what a person says then I just forget about them or what they say. Thats what most people should do, instead of crying all the time.<p>
So good job to Jeff

Its not directed towards you. If you read your posts then read the rules, you'll know why we mention your name, cause your obviously breaking the rules. Someone may disagree, and it puts you over the edge. This site is to help others, not curse them into the ground. We have rules, you break them, you will be singled out. You seem to not care about the rules. Ive been on this UBB for years now and people like yourself come and go, your actions clearly show why the rules are in effect. This isnt an AOL chat room, so you cant just bluntly say what you want. People get offended easily and you have to have some tact on your posts. You dont get the emails that are behind the scenes regarding the actions of others, we do.

It's not my fault they were brought up over-sensitive and can't handle the real world.<p>I've tried to help others.
