email to mazda

Post by Mnemonic »

well it seems like ill never find my head gaskets to the 2.0 kfze but i still havent given up hope on lazzyie i know he'll come through, but i understand that its not the dealership to provide us with jspec parts but if we go in there and want to buy them then still they should accomidate us and charge some extra money and make themselfs some money and we get our parts, so after going to 5 different dealerships and hearing the same story i decided to go straight to the source and i emailed mazda directly, i figure if they cant help me then ill just take a vacation fly to japan and get my head gaskets myself but anyway here is the email i sent then. Oh i also asked them to make mazdaspeed bring the parts back for our cars.

"Hi I currently own a mazda 93 mazda mx-3 Gs, my car has reached an impressive 173k miles on original tranny clutch and engine, but as all good things come to an end, my engine finally gave out and I currently have the Jspec 2.0 kfze engine for it, but i am having problems optaining parts for it, now I know most everything on the engine is swappable or functionable with the us spec 2.5kl engine and the jspec version of the 2.5klze engine, but I need head gaskets and neither the 1.8 k8 or either 2.5 k series engines are compatable (of cource there not different bore). I have gone to what seems the end of the earth (well atleast my state) trying to find a dealership that can order these parts for me, but unfortunetly most of there replies have been no because ""we dont like dealing with japan when ordering parts"" this was a quote from a dealerships. I find it extremely aggravating that I cant find parts for this engine, I know that it wasnt designed for the US (why i dont know I have several friends with the same swap and they pass emissions with no problems) so if a dealership cant help me im gonna go straight to the source, I have had 3 mazda's in my life my 1st being a 626, then a Mx-6 and now I've fallen in love with my mx-3 and I cant stand to see her go.

So if you guys can provide any help it will grately be appreciated, I mean if it comes down to me calling japan or australia to have them send me the parts I'll do it.

Thanks
Brian Burton
