Ford Ranger/Mazda B-Series K-Compatible?

Just wondering if any of the v6 Ford Rangers or Mazda B-Series Pickup are K8/KL Engine Compatible?

I would imagine not, they use a Ford designed engine if I'm not mistaken. So the mounts, transmission, harness, etc. would all be different. The K-series aren't designed for low end torque anyway so putting one in a truck would probably require a different cam profile and different gearing.

i was hoping on that other thread a while back that you would have had some info for that K8/323 swap, but all that i will have is all that i will be pulling out of my Mx-3 for my KLZE swap<p>In the end, i think im gonna try to sell my k8 with 140'000kms for a few hundred dollars and buy a B2600 4x4 and use that as a beater instead of buying a mazda with no/bad engine and swapping that into it and using that as a beater...but there's one thing that the B2600 4x4 can do what neither a K8 323 or Mx-3 can do is Off-Roading<p>[ July 09, 2003: Message edited by: Nd4SpdSe ]</p>
