a couple mods...

Post by xeffex »

I just had an Unorthodox Racing underdrive pulley and a universal air filter installed! I can really feel the difference. The RPM's just jump up, I love driving my MX so much more now. All I have right now are those mods and exhaust. If you're looking for a performance mod, I highly suggest both of those. I payed about 200 bucks for both of them, getting deals online. Just my two cents, good luck to everyone!!
P.S. Still in search for aftermarket headers to free up airflow with my Hayame muffler!!

Yeah..you will have to get cutsom headers.
I heard Bullfrog made a set for DOHCs though. Maybe the guy at Discount was jsut wrong.
Elena, don't misunderstand. A pro isn't someone who sacrifices themselves for their job. That is just a fool.

Yeah, Gude Performance (Bullfrog Racing) has headers listed for the MX-3. When I e-mailed them to see if they were for the GS or RS, or could do a custom, they never replied : ( Looks like I'm going to wait a while until I can get my pistons, rods, bearing, clutch and what-nots upgraded so I can handel a turbo and a custom header made from Knight Turbos... but that is a while off.
As far as the pulley, I've heard it is a 7-9 hp increase. I haven't had it dynoed (seeing the dyno would cost half as much as the mod!!) but I can DEFINATELY feel the difference. I felt like it was a good investment and suggest it.
