Hey Josh, you don't have(or had) any intermittent signal problems with the adjustment you made? Also was there any chance of it falling in?
A local member on the forum did a similar mod and it fell in, and then another similliar mod and the signal for the speedo was intermittent, that's why I ask.
I need to try this, I haven't seen a 92-93 RS in ages...

The only problem is that there is no key to turn on the donor car to see in which situation the engine is.
So any tips on where to look or what to inspect?I know if the head gasket is blown there must be oil in the coolant but this is not enough..

Do you have a compression tester?
Also I think it's supposed to be fairly easy to "Hotwire" our cars so maybe someone can PM you that info, it's not like you need the donor cars interior harness.
If possible try to pop off the valve cover and timing cover to look for irregularities suck as excessive scoring on the camshafts or lots of oil behind the cam gears.
Shift through all gears as well.
With a no starter you have to assume everything and anything needs replacing so it's hard to say exactly what to look for.
