I did not roll them, a company called archenemy did it however I did watch Him operate and they rolled the arch inner lip so instead of this 'L' it is now 'U' but as tight up against itself as possible so the paint doesn't crack, although there is some paint fracture it isn't bad at all. The fronts being so thin naturally flared themselves as the roller was pulled outward to do the final strokes.
The rears being double layer did not move out at all really, but He did say if I needed more clearance in the rears He could probably squeeze another 5-10mm out of it.
Having seen it done its not something I would feel confident doing and making a neat job out of without plenty of parctice, as there are a few factors to take in like the swage line at the rear and also any body imperfections/dents can make a big difference as to how the arch will roll. Obviously not trying to put you off as many folks do it themselves, even with baseball bats running round the tire.
You don't need to roll all the way round either, if you imagine a clock face its about from 10-3 that's gets done.
+12 with 195/45 or 50 will fit no problem, some tires stretch different to others though, like Falken's will give a slightly bigger stretch than Toyo T1Rs for instance as the Toyo has the stiffer sidewall and also rim protection. Diamonds will look pretty cool I would imagine with the right drop of course, you will have about a one finger arch gap if you go -100mm with that combo.
