So I got another MS wheel...

Post by Mooneggs »

I picked up another MS wheel - this one is also D shaped, has a gunmetal center, boss kit and spacer. I noticed this wheel is slightly larger but I don't have precise measurements so I'm going to guess 10 mm.

The problem I'm having is that I don't know which one to use. Obviously this second wheel is for the other car but until I get it going, which one should I use? I also have the all black dimpled center piece I could throw over either center.

Here are the options:
D shaped 330mm wheel with black center and white horn
D shaped 330mm wheel with black center and red horn
D shaped 340mm wheel with gunmetal center and white horn
D shaped 340mm wheel with gunmetal center and red horn
either D shaped wheel with black dimpled center

No it's a real question, I really can't decide. I thought about making a poll. I put one up on facebook.

Ive always been a fan of 340mm with white. Just seems a bit more functional, maybe the red if you want to flaunt the jdm image thing

I also thought of just picking up a black horn and running that with the gunmetal...

yeah the red might be cool just for random JDM flare lol. It doesnt' match anything else that's for sure...

If you ever pick up a larger diameter wheel(within 1/2" of stock), I'd love to pick one up! The problem is, every time I see a larger MS wheel, I think it's fugly, or the shape is off. :( I like to keep my left hand at 9 o'clock, 3 fingers wrapped around the wheel for casual driving.

More on topic though, I like the white horn button better, but the other wheel looks better to me.

I will never pick up a wheel that big but when you get the money let me know and I'll show you where to buy 8)

I'm leaning towards gunmetal center wheel with the white horn button (as several of you have suggested).

I would go to a smaller wheel if I were planning to keep the Power Steering... but I can't deny the urge I have to free up that little bit of power. I hate manhandling a manual rack with a small wheel, with a passion!

I may have the money for something like this down the road, but right now I'm having trouble with ALL the cars. -.-

I did finally figure out the issue with my coilovers clunking btw, the guy I bought them from tipped me off to something, and it panned out. I feel like an idiot for missing it too, since it was obvious after he suggested it. -.-
