You can. The tricky part is part cleanup. I think (not sure at all) that professional PC'ers media blast engine parts, before coating them, just to make sure ALL the grime is gone.

Haha, thanks for the congrats, well wishes and warnings :)

Media blasting should be 1st or 2nd step, followed by one to many different types of cleaning types, and lastly you should prebake everything to degas it and get the contaminants to the surface (where they should again be cleaned).

Metal is porous, and expands in heat: i.e. all that junk ON the metal is somewhat INSIDE the surface.

In case anybody is wondering, this is exactly why no amount of degreaser by itself will clean valve covers that have 20 years of oil spilled on them :lol: Took me bathing 2 overnight in purple power to figure this out, when I should have known it -.-
