Re: m62 pulley
the CLK pulley will only make you 2.5 psi of boost. some guys get an overdrive crankshaft pulley to increase the boost, I think theres a guy on probetalk who makes them. Or else you would probably have to get a custom made smaller supercharger pulley. the bracket to mount the S/C will have to be custom made and your oil filter needs to be relocated.
thats only a few points I just made.... you probably need to get on probetalk.com and do some research on the ac mount supercharger. good luck !

Re: m62 pulley
M62 is the same my X has. It's stock pulley makes 6psi (8 with the boost bypass mod). A 2.4" pulley will do 10psi, 2.3" pulley will do 12psi (15 on mod).

Re: m62 pulley
^ Correct
Except that the Stock mx3 drive pulley doesnt help and causes super low boost on our cars, and mix that in with IC piping you will make like 1lb of boost. If you get a 2.4-2.5" aluminum pulley made for the M62 (with the key insert) then you should be able to make 7.5-9psi of boost with 2 1/4 IC pipes and a small intercooler.
I talked to Aldorin on PT about making a overdrive pulley. PM him and he may be able to recreate one for you. That is a easier option then having one made for the M62 as they are not the easiest thing to find. You will also loos clutch capability if you get a new pulley for the m62.

Re: m62 pulley
That's true that the speed of the supercharger also depends on the size of the pulley on the crank turning it.solo_ryder wrote:^ Correct

Will these pulleys not work? 2.64 to 2.3:

What do you mean clutch capability? I take it some M62's have a clutch option to engage/disengage the charger?

Re: m62 pulley
Sweet yea those might work as they are press on pulleys. They need to be key notched though.. I am sure you can get a shop to do that, I am not sure if the snouted xterra m62 is different from the amg mercedes version in terms of the pulley and how it is installed
Re: m62 pulley
hey thanks everyone i will try the website provided i cant imagine it cant be done! but what size would i want for 5 lbs boost with intercooler and stock crank pulley?

Re: m62 pulley
What motor are you running? Why 5psi? Are you gonna run a FMU/FPR combo?
You would need to post up on PT to get eact pulley sizes for that much boost. Take into account 1-2 PSI loss over the IC pipes and Intercooler.
