as i walk through the valley of the shadow of death i shall fear no evil for i am the baddest mother f**cker in that valley

You should prolly fear the grammarmonster. He's pretty friggin' scary.

Here are some helpful tips: Scour through the forums. Look at what people have done, look at how much it is going to cost you, make a list of mods that are actually affordable, and if you're still undecisive, then ask opinions.

1. What's your budget?
2. What's your goals with the car?
3. what kinda car do you even have? Shelby Ultimate Aero? RS/GS /year makes a big difference on what you're doing to the car.

The thing is, if you come across as respectable, not a moron, you're way more likely to get help, and sooner. People who post a thread titled:

"HELP MEZ MI KAR BROAK"

Then proceed to omit every single unit of punctuation, using z's instead of s's, mess up your syntax so you never say anything that you meant... you'll get flamed for being dumb...

It just so happens that the most knowledgeable members are also the most intelligent. I wonder why?

I don't think grammar is pointless. I think it's amazing. It makes your posts change from painful to pleasureful.

Here's my example of why:

http://www.mx-3.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=63272" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Anyways, I hope we're not here just to bicker (bick...ford?) about grammar. There's a lot of information, a lot you can do with your car.

My biggest suggestion is lurk the worklogs and see what you like to give you inspiration.

My second biggest suggestion is attention-to-detail. Spend a little time, a little creativity, and make your project clean and attractive.

I started to do a bit of interior decorating myself.

http://www.mx-3.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=66294" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You can try soundproofing, it will help if you're going an audio route:

Honestly, I read the first post, and it hurts to try to decypher what was typed, so I literally ignored this thread.

I can kinda understand that you're not trying to impress anyone on an online forum, but if you want help and advice, you have to show that you're willing to give us the time to write legibly so we can understand you, so we'll give you our time to help you...see what I mean? It's a give-take scenario and you'll get back what you put into it, if anything at all.

For what you're asking, that's upto you to decide. I really don't know why you're asking our advice on what you should do for your car. Do what you feel you want to, when you want to. Go by what you want, what you have time for, what you need and what you can afford. I'd recommend function or styling to start. I can kinda see why you're having a hard time choosing which deck, but why can't you choose? What makes it a dilema for you?

I love my alpine (cda-9856). It has Ipod/XM/HD/WMA and MP3 CD support, and an Auxillary that I have yet to use (am going to use it for my car PC).

Though I've never had a D3... don't even think i've seen one LOL

I would actually prefer to use USB media over a CD just so I can avoid skipping, have the ability to hold more media, and easily interchangability of the files on the media.

Yea I used to have the 9856 its a great deck cheapest full speed ipod control alpine... But the D3 has ipod control aswell it does everything the alpine does & has more way more options, not to mention you can WATCH FRIGGIN MOVIES and have GPS you can save phone numbers to parts on your map & touch the location to call it through your bluetooth... I guess that means it's time for me to replace my 8track Kraco. Had my springs reinforced to carry all those tapes too.
Whats better quality, Clarion, Pioneer, Sony, Kenwoody. Further more for just a deck how much is usually enought to spend. Ok Dude I'm dine hijacking your thread. Thanks :wink:

Its cool. i've decided to put the d3. i just need to find all my wires and since its a double din it fits perfectly in it. Now that i have that out of the way and decided. the 8track player is a bit dated
