HVAC Control Bulbs

This forum is for discussion of topics relating to MX-3 lighting such as Headlights, Tail lights, Accessory Lights, Interior Lights, Etc. For example, Rear Euro Altezza Style Tail lights, Headlight units, LED's, HID's, Bulbs, Interior lights, Neons, Strobes, Auxillary Lights/Fogs or anything filament and gas discharge related.
Also anything dealing with the elctrical system.

What's happenin folks! 94 base model with the push button HVAC. My question is the bulbs in this unit. I have some burnt ones. How do you change them?

I don't have that dash style, but I would assume you have to dismantle the dash a bit.

Did you try the online manuals? They will definately tell you.

Wow..

Let me start by saying I spent about 30 min disasembling a perfectly fine 94 hvac only to find that I didnt need to take it all apart...

All the buttons are LED, so they should not burn out. If they do, get a new HVAC from a wrecker..

If the bar area goes out (the cold/hot area and the OFF 1 2 3 4 area) then you can fix that as there are 2 bulbs. However, you need to get a specific bulb from mazda or the wreckers.. They look like this:

Here is the plastic peice that the light is dispursed on:

Here are the flaps to take off to get at the light and screw them out:

You must take the hvac out to do this, or at least far enough to get at the top part. Its proly a good idea to get one from the wreckers or buy mine!! PM me if you want it.

Damn! Well, i'll just pretend they work. LOL. How much would you want for your HVAC unit?
