I find the passenger limit a little much, but I can't blame them either, I do know and see what they mean, so I'm stuck on 50% of that one.Mad Cow wrote:I don't like how they act, but I don't believe they're as big of a problem as most believe. I'm fine with everything but the passenger and 3 strike limit. Is it really fair that you get your license suspended for 30 days if you get stopped doing 120 on the freeway like everybody else? The government is giving cops too much power, while some cops will still be fair, others will abuse it. That's what I don't like most of all.
3-strikes. Honestly, do you think anyone NEEDS more than 3 strikes. I'm my what, 9 years of driving, I've only used 1. Driving isn't a right, it's a privilidge. Learn to drive, follow the rules, take driving seriously, and you shouldn't have a problem.
120 is speeding for us too, so don't you worry. I had my license suspended for an unpaid ticket cause the lady on the phone essentually lied or fed me the wrong info. Regardless, I drove illegally for a week, yes, I'll admit that, but I had to, but I drove the inconspicuous 626 and i flowed with traffic, despite it doing 120, i didn't want to stand out. Now, you being a kid, he may look over and maybe harass you, and it's tough, I know first had that it's actually scarry on the highway stuck doing 105, cause i had a problem with the 626 tranny slipping at 110. But with gas prices being/were high, i'm guilty of doing 90 on the highway in my Xterra, since it's much better on gas plus i get paid for the time on the road, but i have noticed traffic has slowed down alot since those days, which is only about 3-4 years ago
Hey, those street racing laws can be just as stupid and jsut as strict, you just have to be aware and play it safe.
Oh ya, I was wild and wreckless, and I've got some records I dont think I'll ever be able to break anymore, but live and learn.
