i need help mx-3 gurus!!

alright...this morning it was kind if cold ( 40ish) i started my car and put it in reverse, and it started running really bad. low, rough idle. Can smell gas when running...
i checked plugs, all are fine but 1 (can smell gas on the one), all plug wires are fine, i checked fluids, oil was almost empty so i filled it, and coolant was also(filled it too) im really hoping this isnt a timing issue....is there any way i can check the timing on this sucka?

93 mx-3 1.8 gs...only mods are cai, exhaust, and hei mod w/o external coil

PS it has been overheatikng the past cpl weeks.. figurd it was thermostat....i wish i woulda checked the fluids before today...i hope my car's not dying!!!

I hope that by adding oil and coolant, you fixed your problems.

Make sure you bleed all the air out of the cooling system.

The plug that smelled like gas; did it have good spark? Maybe you have a bad high tension lead or connection.

upDATE!

i was just out there...and i was showing mi padre ( my dad) what was the haps with the plug. i pulled the wire out, and it basically fell apart in my hand lol....soo...we jimmy rigged the bi*** back together with elec tape and viola! she runs!

at least that was already on my "to do" list, a tune-up.

Haha, I have had an electrical taped plug wire for the last 8 or 9 months and its runs beautifully too! Those things are expensive .
