ground wire question

Post by eyezpinned »

car seems to be sensitive to electrical loads (especially cooling fan) in a ground wire kit setup, would i attempt to ground problem areas (like the fan) or does the kit that i've seen written up here ground everything?

A faulty IAC (Idle Air Control) Valve could also be to blame.

i recently replaced the iac, the car would bog down bad when the compressor came on... it's not doing that... it idles up when i turn ac on, like it should. i should say i feel more of a pulse run through the car when the cooling fan kicks on but then the iac catches it... i'm trying to make that pulse more subtle... was wondering if a ground kit would help

Ground wires would help - but clean all the existing grounds first (take the nuts/bolts off and scrape the contacts to clean up paint/rust and put some dielectric stuff). Also check alternator and battery.
