i had an idea ... i know, hell must be frozen ...

Post by OutlaW »

Well guys, maybe this is not new, but after seeing this image, i had an idea ...

See the front corner light hole ? What about driving the car like that on dragstrips... and get a custom made airtunnel in order to get fresh air from that hole to a CAI ?
I bet it would give at least 0.0000134560000 bhp more :welder:

I had considered that or possibly using the fog light holes as brake cooling ducts! :welder:

I am actually using the fog light hole as the inlet for my home made CAI. I had plastic flex tube lying around so i drilled a hole under the headlight and stuck the tube in there and drilled another hole in the filter box to receive that tube. It sits where the resonator box used to be. I also blocked the front air hole in the filter box so it will only get air from the modified path. I also had to "fabricate" a foam based water bypass valve so it wont suck any water. I dont know for sure if it improved power or not.... - but it "feels" like an improvement...

ya, thats been around a long time. Somepeople remove the air tube from the inner fender well and cut out the hole bigger, use that along with tubing for a "ram-air" effect. That was one of my 1st mods on my RS.

oh! I thought you were talking about the foglight holes lol you were talking about the blinker hole... hmmm now that is interesting!

unless we had civic projectors with blinkers it would be illegal to drive without the mx-3 front blinkers in the US

Mooneggs, about the lip, im looking at my wallet, wait a few days
Here in Portugal it would be illegal too, but that is why i told that when we went to the track or the dragstrip, we took the blinker off and the air would run through :welder:

Why not just take out the headlight for the strip? no fancy plumbing necessary :D
