Race car or 4x4 MX-3
Race car or 4x4 MX-3
If my car doesn't sell in the next few weeks I have decided to make it a project car. Not just a simple engine switch but to alter everything about the car but the body and interior. I am contemplating either putting on an s-10 rear wheel drive frame and putting a small block chevy in it or putting the body on a late 70's CJ5 frame and using a 360cu in engine in it. I did this to a vw rabbit I had years ago. If anyone is pretty good with photoshop I can send you a pic of the rabbit and you can add the mx-3 body to it to see how it looks. With the vw I left the 258 straight six in it with a manual trans but had 35" tires and a 1700w stereo system. I think that this method maybe a more fun way of going instead of making it into a race car. Let me know your thoughts. Vinny

Jealousy lerking?
Don't hate me because I have the ability and agility to go out on a limb and build something completely custom. I love this car and am going to do something besides put stickers on it to make it stand out. I have it on here for sale to get a truck that is already done but if people aren't interested why should I lose interest in it? I don't plan to do either of them until the engine blows but will do one or the other if not sold. I want your opinions and ideas so thank you for your time and thoughts. Vinny

I knew I was missing something, STICKERS. I guess I wasted all that money on my 200 horsepower JDM swap.
Its a sport compact not a Truck utility 4x4.

Sorry cyclone if I offended you or anyone else out there that has chosen this path. I think your car is pretty sharp but I am not interested in just having 200hp. I have built several "freaks" with 500-600hp and I think the looks of the Mx-3 would be a great attention getter. I do the work correctly, get them street legal and enjoy what I have made. An engine swap is not the challenge I am looking for. Thanks for sharing your opinion and I hope you accept my apologies.

I would love to see a 4x4 mx3!! That rabbit is pretty damn cool man. I've seen a bug body on a 4x4 chassis but haven't seen many unibody cars put onto 4x4 chassis. I am the only one who voted for an mx3 body on a 4x4 chassis because I think that would be way cooler than just another drag-car. Imagine rolling with built landcruisers, jeeps, and other capable 4x4's in a "girl car" mx3!

Disregard the hating. Do what you'd like to your car, its yours.
I think Jarid Perry had mentioned something about putting the mx-3 shell on a bronco or jeep frame. I never thought of using an s-10, but would the wheelbase line up? you may have to do some frame chopping.
I will have an mx-3 shell to get rid of once I get the parts I need out of it.
Im removing the drivetrain, engine, and brake system for an RS to GS conversion.
If you wanna make the drive you can come get it.
