If your going to race someone, make sure your car is ready
Now that guy could go around his Civic Type R and brag how he beat up some V6 MX3 with a KLZE...

We're weird? You come on this site and ask if you can beat a type R civic, and are supposedly discussing illegal street racing. You give no details on the other cars setup. Stock for Stock? Id eat a civic type R alive.KA3AX wrote:You guys are weird... Okay, how much wheel horse power would a KLZE MX-3 put out? I know a guy that has a Type R civic and he has 195hp AT THE WHEELS!!! I think that is a lot. His hatchback civic weighs about 2000lbs. So any clue?
Street racing is for idiots.
You probably don't know what a civic Type R is then. Let me explain... It is a small civic hatchback that weighs around 2,000 lbs, it has an engine in it from a Type R Integra. The one I was talking about is a stock Type R Integra engine in his hatchback civic. The engine is a 1.8 I4 which the guy dynode and said he got 195hp at the wheels! I want to know if anyone has at least tried to race one, NOT say they will eat one especially if you don't know how fast it is. This guy said he kept up with the new BMW M3! Now that is fast. Of course in my opinion "no matter how fast you make it...it's still a civic!"

There are more than a few instances of people dynoing their ZE MX-3's on this board and posting their results. One of the higher ones, Naturally Aspirated was around that same 195whp. To my knowledge.. the guy has since turbo'd the car and I am sure its putting out a lot more than that now. If its something you really need to know.. try using the search function.. its amazing what you can find with it.

Did you specify ANY details? Year? Noones got a clue. For all we know its a 2000 with 160 Hp.KA3AX wrote:You probably don't know what a civic Type R is then. Let me explain... Thats a SWAPPED car I assume, since you specified no details. Before you decide to post and ask questions, give details so someone else can answer you with a legitimate response. Thats like saying, will a "camaro beat a mustang?" without specifying any model/year/mod specifics.

A Civic Type R is a production car made overseas so you obviously don't know what it is. It is NOT a swapped Civic bubble you dumba$$. And a swapped Civic with a ITR motor with 195whp is not stock. The ITR motor makes 197hp to the crank so its impossible that it would make 195hp to the wheels stock. That would be no drivetrain loss. You need to learn what you're talking about before arguing with people on here. And a Civic with the ITR motor would be nowhere near as fast as the new BMW M3, it would barely beat out a KLZE MX-3. The new M3 is 400hp. Please, please, please come here with some sort of knowledge before looking like an idiot on this forum. I'm embarassed for you because you own an MX-3.

1993 Teal MX-3 GS- KLZE and other goodies. RIP
