[WTB] - KL"DE" Engine

Post by Bling Bling »

I live in the Calgary area. I have spoken to Rick J and he has given some places to look but I thought I would ask if anyone has a buddy or themself owns a car with the above engine in it. Preferably lower K's but must have ECU and VAF sensor. Please get back to me. :) I'm hoping to get one rebuilt and installed in my car before Spring if possible.

i have a kl 2.5 i rebuilt 2000 miles ago. i could break it down & ship it to you in 4-5 boxes. heres the but, it burns oil like crazy. i guess the machine shop honed it to far, so you would have to have it bored out with new pistons & ring. there is a sell on probetalk for new forged h-beam rods that are made to use aftermarkit piston's. i thought about doing this myself, but no money.

the motor was completly rebuilt, all was new 2000 miles ago
all seal's, bearing's, timing set, oil pump,
i had the heads rebuilt also, i ported & polished the runners myself, lots of time spent.

to reassemble all you would have to do is bore it like i said above, get a head gaskit, everhting else is done.

i was going to use it for raceing, so i but alot of time into this motor. the only thing i didn't check myself was the piston's & block (payied the machince shop to do it, they let me down)

parts alone cost me over $700.00 then the machine work (head & block 400 euro) & my time i hate to think what i would lose.

make me a offer

johnnie

Sounds great but after shipping it here from Germany I think it would cost too much. But it sounds like you rebuilt it the same way I was going to.

That's ok. But what are you asking for your engine and how much money would be required to install the new hardware?
