GS Cluster in RS?

Post by Mazda_Power »

Just wondering, can it be done? If so how difficult is it? I've searched but haven't come up with anything.

I dont think so... but why would you want to do it anyway? There is really no difference except I guess maybe a higher redline on the Gs.. but youcan get some guage covers to fix that if you really wanted to.

The GS uses an electronic speedo, while the RS (92-93) uses an actual cable that connects to the back of the cluster.

Oh I am just noticing that you have a 1994.. so it may be possible since the 94+ RS uses an electronic speedo gear as well.

All gauges are swapable, except those with a 92-93 RS that are cable driven.

Yeah, I was just thinking about the redline. Don't worry I'm not a silly ricer who thinks that maybe by swapping in a new cluster I can rev higher or fuel cut will magically correlate with the new cluster! :D Thanks for the info!
