i agree with atlantamx3 and mx34u2nv they make the most sense.. i mean is scammers on here really that big of a problem? and do we really need you guys to look out for us when it comes to buying and selling? i've made lots of deals over the internet, on this site and other sites without you guys there to protect me,and i've yet to be scammed.
a friend of mine had lots of parts to sell i told him to post here and he couldn't because of the stupid 30 post rule and in my opinion people missed out on a lot of good deals.
i believe your guys stupid rules have more to do with some sort of little power trip than looking out for the welfare of the members.

I think the 30 post rule is very fair. I think it should be raised to 100 posts.

If new members have a problem, then they can sell their parts on Ebay. Cause this site doesn't prosper on weekly members anyway.

on this forum maybe scamming isn't a HUGE problem, but when a scammer does come along, he can do a nice bit of damage. Example, the cf wiper cowel situation. Thats caused alot of havock for alot of people. A couple scammers here and there are a coulel too many.

Dumbest thing I’ve ever seen!

I am offended and appalled by your blatant prejudice and segregation of new members, hardly welcoming at all.
You don’t even have a forum for new members to introduce themselves and be welcomed by the community, shame.
Not every new member is a scammer, granted there are those who come in here just to sell there items, like me. But don’t label me as someone not contributing to this site or its members. I could easily throw out the stuff I have and no one would benefit.
Tell me do you share your profits with members of this community?

I’m a car enthusiast just like everyone else in here. I could put my items on eBay but that’s a place to buy and sell junk!
In a community like this it’s more personable - no anonymity or animosity - yet in this forum I can’t help but feel some of the later directed towards myself.

You don’t condone post whoring yet this will only aggravate new users to whore there post count to +30

This will only make Mods/Admins job more strenuous, ask yourself this - How much has post editing and member banning gone up since the creation of the +30 rule?

Why not just create a sub forum for new members that just want to sell there stuff and add an appropriate disclaimer to that forum notifying members to use it at there own risk

I think certain members here are on a power trip, which is easy enough on a public forum. Grant special privileges to friends and sponsors create and pass rules without notification or approval of board members - hardly a democracy, why don’t you just privatise this site, make all members pay or do you not like the idea of giving share holders a say in the way in which this club portrays itself?
How much does banner advertisement/sponsorship contributions cost on this site these days and what "perks" do they get?

wow... welcome to the board.

if you wanted a nice welcoming, this really isn't the way to get it. this is a really good way to start off on a bad foot with both members and administration. i hope you change your attitude because, this will only lead to negative views from members towards you.

btw, providing little information about yourself (ie. location) doesn't really help either.

this site really isn't THAT bad. mx6.com, won't even let you post links while you are a new member. that's pretty ridiculous.

when you start paying all the bills to keep this site up and running trouble free, then you can set your own rules. i'm not trying to piss you off, but only trying to help you keep good relations on here. this is very often called a community because we get to know each other both on and off the forums and we help each other out. welcome.

I've actually already suggested that:

Although I'm far from a new user, I do understant and see exactly what and why you would be frustrated about it. I do like the idea of a "new member" forum.

I would have to disagree with that comment. From what I have heard, most people either agree with how I run the site, and understand that it is the best for the community in the long run.

We put this rule in, and it will always be that way. As long as 1 post wonders think this a free way to sell their car, then it will be enforced. This is an enthusiest site, not Craiglist.
