Re: Forum: MX-3 Related Items For Sale/Trade

Post by Insanebabe123 »

Hi Guys and Gals.

I understand the [FS] rules regarding the for sale posts and agree. This will stop fly by nighters from profiting at our loss. What I don't understand is why I can't reply to posts within this forum. I have to send PMs and then hope they get them or read them. No way to really follow up. This is my first car and I am really excited about finding a site where I can trade info, ideas and parts with others that love this car.

Please let me and others know if there is a fix for this issue.

Thanks!

You can email them instead of PMing them.

Just a thought.

The reason you cant respond in the for sale/trade forum is because you only have 11 posts so far.. once you reach 30 + posts you will be able to post in that forum. Just another safe guard against scammers that join up only to sell crap on this forum.

Exactly!

These 1 or 2 posters who come on this site want to use it as a for/sale ad. Why should we let people make a profit off of this site? We have to pay to keep it running, and yet they want a profit. We have it set when you hit 30 posts, you get "member" status, and are allowed to post as you wish.
..those who spam the board with useless comments to get their post count up, usually those posts are removed. If they are warned and continue, they are banned.
This isnt Ebay or Autotrader, so if they dont like the rules, they have to pay to sell in other ways as we do to keep this site running. Its only fair to those who who donate.

Re. Rules

Hi everyone - I was not knocking the rules, I believe holding F/S until you become a member is more than fair. I just wanted to be able to reply so I could note my interest. I thought all I could do is a PM but I will also e-mail in the future. I just haven't gotten a lot of responses regarding the items F/S that I have been interested in.

Great site and I have been reading here all day today. Thanks for the ideas, now if my pocket can catch up I can put some into practice. :D
