Trunk hatch idea..

Post by mx3mikey »

Has anyone here talked about doing a whole new trunk hatch. I'm talking about removing the hatchback window and fabricating something like the 93 + RX-7 hatch. I think it would look AMAZING! Like a completely different car. I did a really poor photoshop of the idea, but cant host my own photos. Does anyone know what I'm talking about at least?

I've seen it. It looks ok. But what about the opposite...has anyone done the RX-7 on the MX-3?

fiberglass one with lexan window would be best, imagine how much weight youd save.

I should have done my research before I posted. Yes, this question has been asked several times. However, no one has addressed it. Why don't we try to get one made? If enough of us ask, they will make it. Depending on how many we ask for, the price might be reasonable.

I've seen it. I will drop this untill I can get ahold of an RX-7 hatch. I'll see how it looks first. Then, if I like it, I will do it.

I've seen pics of that hatch that resembles the delsol. I think it was priced somewhere in the 600$ range.

If an Rx-7 hatch looks similar to that on an Mx-3, than what would be the point in putting it on an Mx-3?
