I wish there were a way for you to delete a post and let us know why. Sort of like they do on Probetalk. We can't learn from our mistakes if we don't lnow what they were.

The thread is left in its original place. in red letters under the last post you can see,"closed by insert admin here"
Then if you click on the actual thread it comes up with the posts up until it was closed. the person closing the thread is the last post and they put the reason there for all to see. Its ussually just one line like " lack of proper searching".
Once a thread has been closed you can only view it and not reply to it.
After a little reading you can figure out just what is allowed and what is not.

Thanks

More specefically I was refering to the recent post in the for sale section regarding grounding kits. Your thoughts on group buys is clear. guaging interest is the fuzzy area.
If a post is inappropriate or against site rules let us know and we'll try to get it right .

thanks

That post was deleted only because the guy making them was looking for interest. That means you could have sent him a PM requestiong a kit, and noone would even know. So we frown upon people selling products. Now interest in group buys is a different story. Usually is people getting info then going to the seller and asking for the GB. Not the seller asking. That requires Jeffs approval.
