92 GS v6;
the hold flashes as soon as I put the shifter in any of the forward drive (D,L,S) slots but not in reverse and does not move past the first gear which I hardly get any power (torque?)out of anyway. Is she dying?
Started after a 250 mile trip.

I had something to that effect this past summer. Check your tranny fluid levels and see if it's leaking anywhere.

I think it just depends how your ATX is damaged. I think it just means your drive gears are screwed but your reverse is ok. When my tranny went last time drive gears worked (although not very well) and the reverse didn't work at all.
