painted windshield wiper arms?

Post by marshmallow15 »

what do you guys think of doing this? i mean mine are rusty and corroded and instead of getting new ones, what if i jsut grinded them a bit and painted them satin or glossy black? do you think this would be dumb/cheap?

When I bought mine they were rusty in parts and looked old. I sanded them down than gave them three coats of black spray paint and some waterproof sealent, cant remember what they were called. Did the job fine, and didnt look cheap.

i did the mod yesterday at 5 in the morning. grinded some of the corrosion, sanded and painted the arms a gloss black and i also painted the base part of the stock antennae (it was faded). i should've done this mod a long time ago. nice and shiny. i also painted the plastic panel that goes around the windshield wiper arms (was also faded). i will post pics later tonight!
