Re: pakfeifer altezzas
Let me just say this,
When everyone first heard of the news of the existance of mx-3 Altezza lights everyone assumed it was Pakeifer that manufactured them.
It wasn't until later on once people like Oscar started ordering them part of the group buy that he discovered Pakfeifer didn't actually make them and it was some Tiawan company instead.
Who is this Tiawan company that makes them, I don't think anyone really knows for sure other than Pakfeifer and a few other vendors that are selling them.
All I am saying is that everyone kind of initially made the assumption that Pakfeifer made them without really asking more about it.
Anyways, like anything else in life, Buyer Beware.

Re: pakfeifer altezzas
i recieved this email from IMSA:
Pakfeifer does not make the lights. He buys them at the same manufacturer I do, in Taiwan. So, in reality, they are the same lights, but my company is IMSA GROUP and he is PAKFEIFER.
i'm guessing, he read this post on the board.
i was under the impression that pakfeifer made the lights themselves...but now i know. i have my own customizing shop..so for everybody in the US..i'm tryin to get a contract with PAKFEIFER to be a US distributor. i'll let ya know when i hear somethin

Re: pakfeifer altezzas
the reason for the high price is that the Mx-3 is a fairly rare car. the high price is a result of the price they pay to make the mold for the tails compared to the amount that will be purchased a classic case of supply and demand. You can buy some of tthese altezzas at frigin pepboys at autozone for the most popular imports. The rarenss of MX-3's is what makes us love them it's sometimes called in articles "the Car people forgot to buy"

Re: pakfeifer altezzas
re-read his post. The civic/integra/eclipse neon boys can get them there. Not us.
Re: pakfeifer altezzas
I was able to find out some more info on the Altezza style tail lights for the MX3...
After being turned off to the fact that the Austrian based company wanted me to pay around $400 for the tails, I decided to check elsewhere. I found a website specializing in import parts, and a new addition to their inventory is the Altezza style euros for the Mazda MX3(92-96...
You can order them in the www.IMSA-GROUP.com website...
They are $269.95 USD and can be ordered via PayPal. I find this better than paying $400 plus S&H...
here is the page:
IMSA-Group.com - Altezza
I hope that helps some...
~Mike
[ August 02, 2002: Message edited by: CivicFearsMX3 ]
Why did I smoke 2 01' Honda Civics at a stoplight w/ my stock 96' MX3? Cause the drivers were too busy rev'in up their engines to hear their $hitty mufflers!
