Hi,
Does anyone know a supplier who still sells official Mazda accessories for the MX3 such as leather seat covers, luggage net, heated seats?
Thanks.

boot/trunk floor bolts
Hi,
Does anyone have a part number for the bolts that hold the trunk/boot wooden floor cover down (which covers the spare wheel) in an MX3? They also have plastic hooks on them for holding the luggage net.
Mazda UK cannot find the part numbers in their microfiche although my local dealer did ...

piston oil rings
Has anyone heard of MX-3 1.8ltr V6 piston oil rings wearing out early (before the compression rings) such that the car goes through oil v. quickly with no visible blue smoke & no other engine symptoms?
My car is getting through oil very quickly (0.5ltr every 200 miles) but has passed compression ...

A/C causing flat spots
Hi,
Has anyone had problems with flat spots (dips in acceleration) which happen only when the A/C is running? I have and I was wondering what was wrong (seizing compressor perhaps)?
My car also has mystery oil usage with no obvious cause (e.g. passes compression test, no blue smoke or oil ...

Re: Head gasket woes
I was wondering what happened to your oil use problem. Did that clear up after you fixed the distributor?

Re: Very High Oil Consuimption
I've got a similar problem with my UK MX-3. Nobody can figure out what's happening to the oil, there's no obvious leak or blue smoke. Also the car is driving well and has passed oil pressure, compression and coolant pressure checks.
Perhaps I have a pinhole leak at high speeds (temperatures) such ...

Re: Mystery noise
Problem solved. An engineer friend diagnosed the problem(s) which helped the garage to find them.
I had a faulty solenoid valve on the engine bulkhead, that's a lot better than a faulty engine!
Flat spots on acceleration turned out to be a split vacuum hose.

Mystery noise
I have a UK 1994 MX-3 V6 1.8i.
I've got a mystery noise from my car engine bay. I can only hear it from the cabin with the windows closed. It sounds like "diga, diga, diga, ..." at a frequency of about 2-3Hz. It comes on at ~1500rpm and is of constant frequency regardless of engine revs above this ...
