The noise of a defective HLAs should stop after a period of time ? Me it doesn't stop, even if the motor is hot and I runned it for 5 days consecutive.

other opinions ?

My k8 is running really good, but it make a weird knocking noise, that is not coming from the block, it looks like its coming from the head, and it keep buyer away from buying my car, even if the motor works very good !

guys I didn't mean that I got a vtec .. I'm not noob enough I just say that the sound, that probably my exhaust, make over 4000 rpm its pretty the same as when a honda hit thaaa VTECCCHHH...

When I drive my mx3 over 4000 rpm it make a sound thats looks like a VTEC :lol: , but I don't know what it can be. I have my stock k8 and stock exhaust, headers ALL stock. I heard about the VRIS that open near 4000 rpm, can it be that sound ? of its just a normal sound for a v6 mx3 with the stock ...

If I turn the distri. there's no problem but the timing is not correct, if I put the timing correct there's a problem

I changed the TPS today, nothing happened... I still have the same problem. I'll try to change the EGR valve

So the garage called today and he said the TPS's broken, so I'll change it this week ! But I need to find one, cuz mazda sells them for 300 $ CAD

i know theres one in the 4 cylinder faq, but i know its different then the v6.

if i where you id look it up in the online shop manual.

you'll probably need a continunity meter if i remember right.

A shop near my house got something to check the TPS and he'll do it for almost nothing so ...

Where are you located? perhaps one of us could give you a hand if one of the brainier of us lives around you.

But the first thing i would check is your TPS, theres a great how to in one of the faq's

Second is check your air intake tube for cracks.

Third reset the ecu and run it a bit, then check ...

Do I need specific tools to adjust the TPS ? or I turn it until the radiator fan start, and I turn it back until the fan stop ? ( That's what I heard on "How to" adjust the TPS )
