Turbo Kit

Post by Ukrman »

I was just wasting some time on ebay, and came across this kit. Any thoughts on it?

Yea... the ONLY good thing to use from those kits are the intercooler pipes, T-bolt clamps and Turbo pipes! Everything else is NO NAME garbage that will either give you boost creep or smoking seals! :welder: Get the pipes from Ebay and build a good set-up with name brand stuff!

Probably a good idea to use good quality turbo and components, even though some people (se7en) gotten ebay turbos and they work great. I was wondering about the fitment, especially the FMIC piping, since they advertise it for probe/mx6 not sure how similar they are with mx3 in the front end section.

The pipes are GOOD.

I used the tial knock off and used a real tial spring wastegate. Works well.

I used a corteck 12:1 fmu and a cosmo afpr.

The turbos me myself HAVE NOT had good luck.

I know a local dude who used an ebay turbo and it worked he however used a MOTORCYCLE oil line? says its really restrictive.. he told me the ebay turbos blow the seals because we got alot of pressire at the oil sending unit.

well imagine.. 40 psi of pressire on a poor turbo? LOL

ya, the reason ebay turbo's crap out so soon is because most use WAY too big of an oil feed...

mine has a restrictor that is 0.060" Inner diameter....That's smaller than a pin hole BTW....
