tired of race mods ...

Post by OutlaW »

Well, hello again everyone. Im a MX3 owner that is just tired of race mods, and race spirit and so on ... i really love the MX3 looks and drive feel.
And i want to be driving this car for a very long time.
The car was not running since September, im trying to use it again but it needs a little TLC ...
Like, when im driving it, even slowly, let's say around 2000rom in 3rd gear. I need to break to a stop cause of traffic, and when i stop i get the most nauseous smell from gas. It smells that im running rich like Donald Trump ... ...
What can i do to lower my fuel mixture ?
Im thinking about ... lose the racing sparkplugs and get some stock one's. Maybe get a racing Cat since im running a straight pipe. What else can i do ?

There's your problem. Your cat is suppose to burn up what the motor can't, you don't have one, so of your it'll smell like it's running rich since your car is designed to run with a catalytic converter

Define racing plugs? If your running colder plugs and do a lot of idle and stop and go, they may be fouled causing an incomplete burn. Pending the plugs, racing plugs are meant for when the engine is driven hard and hot

Check your charcoal canister is still present. Unburnt fuel should be going out the back. Even when I do launch control with loads of excess fuel I still don't get that smell.
