ive noticed over the past few months that my wipers work very odd sometimes. ill start with a bit of history. i bought the car in may 11 and the wipers worked fine until august when someone bashed the arm and broke it. i grabbed a new one from an rs at the wreckers on a road trip. it worked but the wiper arms moved very slowly even on its top setting. i figured it had something to do with it being for an rs so i striped it apart when i got home and fixed my original one which worked normally.
my problem is that the arms move slowly occasionally. i deliver pizza and it rains a s--- tun in vancouver in the winter so its quite annoying sometimes. last night i had the wiper on full and at one point it was taking almost 4 seconds for the blades fully complete one cycle. turned the car off for 5 min then back on and it was working fine. is there a relay or somekind of "flasher" module that controls the speed of the arms that isnt built into the switch?
ive also noticed my headlights slightly dim while braking. im assuming this is from a bad ground and i plan on making a ground wire kit when i do my timing belt in a couple weeks.
anyone got any ideas?

I know you believe that you understand what you think I said but I'm sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Re: weird wiper operation
im planning on swapping it with the "new" one from my old car when i do the timing belt. although my headlights dont dim with my stereo cranked on my 600w+ rms dual amp system. battery is also brand new and has way more cold cranking amps then my car needs.
