Blown manual tranny
Blown manual tranny
Tranny blew a year ago finally trying to get this thing on the road... 1.6 MTX... Looking at my options I think it might be best to go for the rebuild. AMMCO said 350 just to take it out and see whats wrong, 90 if i take it to them already removed... Trying to get some sort of idea what a rebuild will cost so i know how much dough ill need.. Any opinions would be appreciated thx.. just want to get this 'beast' back on the road lol

Re: Blown manual tranny
The manual tranny from any MX-3, 93-97' V6 Probe are exactly the same. The 93-97' 626 and MX-6 have the same case but the final drive of the diff is slightly taller. Gears 1-4 are the same ratio, 5th gear is taller too.
If you don't use an MX-3 tranny the mounts and speedo sensor will have to be swapped from your stock tranny.
