weekend from hell

Post by mikeinaus »

this weekend is starting off to a pretty bad start for my poor mx3. so i drove home from work yesterday with my music blaring for an hour threw traffic. get out to notice one of my lug nuts is missing and the other 3 are loose. this caused the wheel to wobble and wear my brake pad down to absolutely nothing. the rotor is more then likely toast aswell. to make things worse they were just replaced in august.

today i drive off for some lunch come back and park my car to a horrible hissing sound only to find my front passenger side tire has a hole in it. go inside and get in a fight with my girlfriend come outside to find my jack is broken throw a temper tantrum and kick some pretty big dents into my drivers door. spend 45min with a hammer to get my door into "decent" condition where it will actually open and close without having to body check it from the inside.

im getting laid off in 3 weeks and i dont have enough work hours to go on ei so the stress is building up and i just snapped :(

Take a chill pill mike haha. Car's will be cars and will break down or cause problems when you least expect it or when you want them not too. It will all pan out..

Have you been looking for other work?

Dang. That sucks. I know the feeling. I haven't hurt my MX-3s, but I have beat up other vehicles for similar reasons.
Good luck with the job search.
I can donate some brake pads. I know it's not the expensive part.

yeah i know :(. i love mx3's but this car has just been a pita since i bought it. ive owned it for less then a year and have had to replace
rear calipers, rotors, pads
radiator
ball joints
tie rods
alternator
motor
clutch
plug wires
wheel hubs
o2 sensors
intake
5 flat tires :freak:
entire cat back
and it still needs quite a bit of work to make it perfect. add to the fact that the paint and body is in pretty s--- condition and ive just been throwing this money away :(.

Far be it from me to pass Judgment but consider attending an anger management workshop. I use to react like that and it's really counter productive. Frustration is one indicator you may need to consider changing certain aspects of your life. When you don't feel in control anger is one result even though control is an illusion. Now go out and apologize to your MX-3, fix the door and get your as* to the May 15-16th meet in Kingston. Remove all thoughts from your head of wanting to kill me for writing this post as well. The Doctor's office is now closed. :D

I know you believe that you understand what you think I said but I'm sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Sorry thought you were in TO. Of all the cars to take frustration out on the MX-3 is one of the easiest to work on IMO. Good luck finding a door.
