Post by wohpony »

My intercooler pipes hang to low and hit everything in the road I need to re-route them and was wondering if someone could post photos of how you have yours.

How are your pipes laid out? What kind of intercooler?

I have a talon sidemount and everything fits right in on the side.

Here's an old pic of my pipes from when they were first redone. I used to have a problem with mine being too low as well.

Id mount the intercooler higher and put brackets to brace all of the piping. get them tigged on and bolt them to the frame..

But really the sending pipe should rap around behind not above I think

Not sure if you were referring to my pic but I think you were.

It's far from flimsy. It actually doesn't move, it's tucked up under the radiator support nice and snug.

Wrapping the piping around runs it either thru the hot engine bay or under the frame rail causing a big ground clearance issue. My first set wrapped around and it was really annoying. This way all the pipes are tucked in behind the bumper as far away from heat sources as possible and don't cause any ground clearance issues.
