Hi Guys,

Is it possible to paint the fuelrails without take the injectors/o-rings out ??

I want to paint it professionaly, so after painting it the temperature will reach 90 degrees celcius (200 fahrenheid)

The reason is that I broke 2 injectors when I wanted to take them out last time.

I'd go with 'not easily'

Just be super careful... wiggle and twist and pull, all very gently.

you can always get them powdercoated

I got mine powdercoated, recommended.

However, if u wanna paint em, just rattlecan em or if u wanna get it done professionaly for whatever reason, take the injectors out with a pair of big pliers and wiggle em.

I can have them painted at my work for close to nothing, so that's a better option then powder coating.

Can I still use the O-rings after getting the injectors out?

Would WD-40 help with getting them out?

Yea, you can reuse the orings. As long as they arent cracked or deformed they should be fine. Yea, WD40 should work to put em in as well.

please get an oring kit if you have the 6cyl. it's super cheap and it's a set for all six of them for a few dollars.

Also if you put something round on the spray end of the injector, then hit it out, it doesn't damage the injector and they pop out.

and were would you get those? I checked parts stores locally and they didnt have nothing when I looked (first time before taking them out)

I had no issues reusing the orings on any of the injector rails I worked on. The orings were still soft and in great shape

My O-rings are 6 months old (tops)

My company builds touringbusses, so we paint those inhouse and we can use the painting stuff for personal use.
