What the f%#! is wrong with "Vee-Dub" fans

Post by _-Night-Shade-_ »

Saw this on a Passat in a parking lot:

Is it just me or is every "Vee-Dub" owner I know a f---ing a55hole? Those ignorant egomaniacs think they're so cool with their 5 inch wheel spacers, fenders grinding the tires, and just in general ugly looking mods. But that's not enough, they have to hate on everything JDM too? Man just wait till I get a ZE then I'll show 'em what a real car is. JDM for life!

Honestly. I've had a bad experience where this one guy I know who I thought was my friend has a 1.8T Golf brand new and he was always talking s--- about my MX-3, saying 130 horses is weak and everything. I said at least I drive manual and not automatic and that was too much for him to handle  Needless to say we're no longer friends, lol.

I dont know what happened to my other post lol. either way, 1.8t's are slowwww. I am not impressed with them.

As for Euro crowd hating JDM, i think they do that cause they think we are a bunch of ricers and they just wanna be different then everyone else. Either way, euro style is taking over.. I see jap cars going euro now, you will see..

Personally, I don't care about any of that sh!t. I like some Japanese cars. I like some Mazdas, a few Toyotas, and a Nissan or two. But I wouldn't be caught dead NEAR a civic. or a CR-X, for example. The same way, I like some European cars, like Porsches, some BMW's, some Renaults, etc, but if a jetta owner came looking down at me, I'd laugh him out of the planet.
For me it's very simple: anybody can fight Tyson from their living room, but real fighters are seen in the ring.

As far as the sticker goes, I'd never put something like that on my car. The only thing that sticker shows is that we're important enough for him to desecrate his car with such a remark, whereas, as far as I'm concerned, I wouldn't waste a second of my valuable time thinking about them.

Exactly, same here. I like many cars, I'm not too fond of VWs but I would never go out of my way to put them down or whatever and I've got no disrespect for those who like 'em either, unless of course they're a55holes like these.

maybe its not the hate against japanese cars, maybe they just hate the "jdm hype". in my opinion its embarrassing how the civics etc behave, thinking a vtec is faster than a porsche ;)

dont get me wrong, this sticker is gay, but the hondaboys are sometimes as gay as the sticker :D

Good point. And I have to say, if the hate is against the "JDM hype", then I'm definitely one of the haters.
The Honda crowd has always been an embarrassment, and I don't think they'll change anytime soon, but all extremes are bad, and this one is no exception.
To think that something is necessarily superior to everything else just because it's Japanese, is stupid, especially considering that Japan has never had the all-out-quality reputation Germany has, for example. But to say a VW is better than a Japanese car just because it's German is as ridiculous as saying that a Fiat is a supercar just because Ferraris are Italian...
