Ok so,my old tranny blew it and I got a better used tranny with low km's,no leaks ect. My first drive upon getting it back. I drove around town for a few km's then took her on the freeway. When going uphill to merge onto the freeway, I accellerated and smelled hardcore electrical and it felt as it had very little power than it normally had. I was cruising at 50km's them when merging accellerated to probably 90km's in the merge lane. The smell eventually went away after a mile or so. Also upon getting my car back,the tranny mechanic stated that my car was reving quite a bit so they turned up the idle 500 points higher than normal to stop that. (my car didn't rev like that before I gave it to them) it just purred like normal. I do have a slight oil leak in the head and have the gaskets and valve seals and noticed that there is electrical tape over every hose and wire from the previous owners. So when my car is in park,idles (fluctuates) between 1500-2000rmp. In drive is around 800. Some days it seems gutless and some days it seems on par as far as horse power and torque. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
