Minnesota MX-3 junkie
Hey everyone. I'm so glad to find an active MX-3 site! My first MX-3 was a 1995 4cyl and even though it was a bad deal, I fell in love. My current car is a 1994 MX-3, also a 4cyl, and I've had 2 solid years of hard driving with low maitenence, even with a broken motor mount and other issues, but now I'm told it's doomed......because I'm broke. Anyways, that's the deal. I'm desperately trying to figure out how to save it before it gets scrapped this weekend, because another car just won't be the same....I was so happy I could open the moonroof again...

Re: Minnesota MX-3 junkie
I knew I needed a new CV joint, so the whole axle was going to be replaced. I had good mechanics trying to get the center of the axle out of the transmission for 6 hours. I know they know what they're doing. There just seems to be no way for them to fix it or to match up the new parts with the old axle. So, it's been sitting in the shop for almost a week while I try to decide what to do with it. I really don't want to ditch it, but I need something driveable.
