New user and hoping someone here can point me in the right direction. I have been searching google for the answer and come across this site. I found someone post the same problem up but there were no answers to the thread
Anyway I apologise if I have posted this is in the wrong place, Im assuming its a transmission issue but I dont know a huge amount about cars :/
Right onto my problem. Recently Ive noticed a judder on my clutch pedal intermittently. It doesnt seem to happen when the car is cold or short town trips but usually after I have driven it to work in the morning and coming back home on the motorway. My route hits a lot of traffic to and from work and the problem happens when the traffic is stop/start and the engine is warm.
It doesnt always do it, like once a week perhaps but when it does its very noticeable.
I took it into the garage and as you know working on the clutch is very expensive and they dont want to replace it unless they can replicate the fault as they are not sure what might be causing it and likewise I dont want to pay for the clutch to be replaced if its not actually the cause.
I have a 1994 mx3 v6 1.8 5 gear model which has done about 76,000.
THe problem always happens in 1st and goes away when traffic starts moving and I move up the gears. If I drive for a bit afterwards and go back into 1st it seems ok again.
Has anyone experienced a similar problem or know what it might be? I would love to get it fixed as im constantly stuck in jams on the motorway and dont fancy breaking down
