oil burn restrictor

Post by nolig2278 »

Does the stock BPT setup need an oil restrictor or is the metal feed line to the turbo already limiting the pressure?

I went from 10/30 mobil 1 extended performance oil to 20/50 and bought a new cheap pcv valve, then saw smoke. Especially after leaving my parking garage. (a little too much oil caused some backup while going down)
Now I am on 5/30 and initially some smoke but seems to be lessening.

Thoughts/suggestions

thanks

If this is an ebay turbo chances are you will need to restrict oil flow ALOT.

I even had to restrict it on a real garret turbo I had.
