What to do with my Mx-3
I was given a 1993 Mx-3 I4. The car has 214,000 miles on it. The car is an automatic. The body has a few dings that I can easily fix and repaint to original. I was wondering if its worth painting it a new color (myself) and doing the body work. And putting a new engine and transmission in it. I don't know how long I plan on keeping the car. If I were going to fix it up my intentions would be selling it, unless I fell in love with it after (cool little car). What advice does anyone have on fixing it up and selling it or is the car not really going to warrant putting the time and effort into it. Thanks in advance. I will post pictures of it soon.

New engine and manual swap would run you in the end, done properly, at max, ~$1500 If you do it yourself. You wouldn't make a whole lot of money.
Although, you may fall in love with it. Its super easy to work on, its fun to drive, its pretty sexy...

Yea its runs good. It just needs the front struts changed and the cv joints redone. I was thinking about painting it myself just for fun no matter what. So I think I will start with that. Hopefully the engine doesn't die like my last car.

I have my 4cyl auto around 130,000 miles, and the engine is super strong! It runs like a champ!
I did have to change the auto tranny around 120,000 miles, though I think it was my fault for it's demise
.
And if anything goes wrong with the car, you can always ask the forums! I learned a lot of things from everyone here, and it's been a very great site for all the info on the MX!
