MEET ---- MXers from PAST, PRESENT OR FUTURE.....

Post by mymx.3 »

OK................I haven't been to a meet yet this year....

The last time that I have seen any of you was last November............that's bad...

This is a MEET for MXers........................PAST.....PRESENT.....FUTURE.................

Too much has happened in our MX family these past few months and it is good that we can keep these get togethers going...it has been too quiet on this site.

I would like it to be someplace in Toronto ............. please give me some ideas of where .................. thanks!

How about some where in the east end of town. I really hate 401 traffic. Even Pickering?

Hi there...............well I am from Kingston...we can go up together..when there are meets we usually pick up people along the way so we could have the cruise together.

Think about it..............most meets are up that way....got to get use to the highway and now is a good time to do it.

Not to want to complicate things but a couple of weeks notice may produce a better response???

I would say the same thing about planning it a month ahead. A weaks notice is to short for me man i have plans for next week and really want to go to something like this. Last one i went to was good but if its more planned out (which i will help do if needed) then i think there will be a bigger turn out.

Last time I went to a meet, the meeting spot wasn't 100% clear and I left pretty frustrated. So as a suggestion, if you're going to have a meet, please make sure that the exact spot is known to EVERYONE. That meet kind of placed a sour note on my coming out to any other ones (willing to give it one more chance though).

Tell me what time you'll be leaving at and I'll wave at you as you pass by Trenton then. It'll be our own little MEET. :) If you need any parts I could chuck them in through your window if you slow down to say below,,50.

Sorry Deb, I didn't know, I have tentative plans this weekend, but it's all up in the air on what and when, so it may not be a problem, but I'll let you guys know. I think it would be a good idea. I haven't been out in a while.

I'm wondering if maybe we could meet up at KC, if it'll be more convinient? Hard to say with people all over the place

We should get something set for next month as well.

Honestly Deb, 50?????? You still have your K8 :welder:

Seriously people, lets get this thing on the go....so here it is!

Leave a Post if you are attending - I am attending and my car (third MX-3 I've owned) is in pieces so no excuses!

Mississauga Meet ( What should have been happening like ritual, in the first place!)
We will meet first to get a coffee out of the way. Then we can cruise down to the lake front for BBQ in the Promanade parking lot. (I will bring the BBQ, we can all hit a store along the way of the cruise to pick up hot dogs and hambergers, and pop) Nice and cheap for everyone!!!!

Time: Meet Saturday at 2pm

Where: Tim Hortons on Cawthra Road in Mississauga.

How:
:confused2: Warning there is only 1 Tim Hortons on Cawthra road so if you continue all the way up it and down it and still don't find it, your car will automatically donated to the "Get Ian into and MX-3 for Free" fund! - It's like racing for pinks, just without the race but you still have to make it from point A to B !!!!!!

The Directions don't get any easier than this.....
401 Eastbound
 Exit at Hurontario and head south (thats a right off the ramp)
 When you hit Burnhamthorpe (2 lights down), make a left.
 Head along Burnhamthorpe until you hit cawthra (5 lights I think)
 Make a right onto Cawthra and head south
 After the third lights you will continue under a bridge
 You will see the Tim Hortons on the left side (with all the MX-3's)
401 Westbound
 Take the 410/403 exit and stay to the left and head south on 403
 Stay in collectors and exit straight at the Cawthra Exit (just after eglington exit)
 Keep heading south. After 7 lights you will go under a bridge
 You will see the Tim Hortons on the left side (with all the MX-3's)
403 Eastbound
 Take the Cawthra exit and turn right onto Cawthra heading south
 After 6 lights you will go under a bridge
 You will see the Tim Hortons on the left side (with all the MX-3's)
QEW Eastbound
 Take the Cawthra exit and turn left onto Cawthra heading north
 After 4 sets of lights you will see the Tim Hortons on the right side (with all the MX-3's)
QEW Westbound
 Take the Cawthra exit and turn right onto Cawthra heading north.
 After 3 sets of lights you will see the Tim Hortons on the right side (with all the MX-3's)
